Playtime for them …free time for you!
When our motto reads “Playtime for Them” what we are saying is kids need a place where they can just be kids. It goes into the very fabric of our centers, our staff, our paint colors, the toys we buy and even the tree houses we build. It bleeds into every program we create, from our after-school programs to our summer camps. We breathe play!
The last part of our motto is “Free time for You”. For over a decade we have been pushing this further and further. Sometimes we mean free time you, as parents, need to get stuff done. Sometimes, we mean, free time to take care of emergencies, tasks, to-dos and the like. These days, we also mean, time for parents to have time to be adults too. For self-care, for self-reflection, time to write, time to walk, time to breathe. Parenting is hard, but so worth it! We think parents are their best when they have a little time for themselves too!
This is our mission; to simply provide impeccably clean, modern environments, where kids can be kids, parents get a break, and franchise owners are raving fans!

Our first Giggles Drop-In Childcare was opened in 2008 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Our flagship center opened with the express purpose of providing exceptional childcare in a clean, modern, impeccably furnished, and fun environment.
To date, Giggles Drop-In Childcare has six locations open and operating, two under construction and is slated to open more in the near future.

How does it go? Necessity is the mother of invention. You could say having our own children was the impetus that led us to Giggles.
Thanks for taking the time to learn about our company! Giggles has really taken off and we are humbled for sure! But, regardless of how fast this company is growing, the seed truth of why we stared it remains the same.
We started Giggles out of need. Just like so many other parents, we needed help! But, we didn’t like the daycare options available to us at the time. So, we tried an on-demand childcare center and were disappointed by the setup, uncleanliness, and unprofessionalism there. The market place needed a well-thought-out, well-planned, clean, modern approach to childcare. We knew we were the ones to do it. So, we did.
Eleven years later, we are still passionate about this industry. We know now more than ever before that parents need superior childcare that grants them the free time they need most.
